A kiss as a symbol

Kiss and marriage
Ancient Romans began to kiss before a group of people as a sign that the couple is getting married. It is thought that since then is dating the tradition of kissing at the end of the ceremony.
What happens in our body during kissing?
When we are kissing 34 muscles are activated including facial muscles and thong. With the touch of lips and tongue to the brain we send signals that encourage many chemical processes, or more important secretion of hormones like oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine and adrenaline, which somehow are "responsible " for the feelings we have at that moment.
Adrenaline plays an important role in the response of the body and speeds up the heart rate.
Dopamine affects the broadcasting of emotions and passions.
Oxytocin is a hormone that has a task to assist in bringing partners together, promotes the feeling of closeness and commitment to one another.
Finally serotonin known as the happiness hormone, acts on the mood and feelings.
Interesting Fact
With the kissing we spend 2-3 calories during one minute.
Kiss as medicine
A kiss is a drug to combat stress. As a result of secretion of all previously mentioned hormones, the kiss raises our mood and sense of calm.
Immunity
Kiss has a role in encouraging and strengthening the immunity because of the exchange of bacteria through saliva.
However, be careful
It should be noted some of the diseases can be transmitted by kissing or through saliva, and those are infectious mononucleosis and herpes simplex virus.
As for HIV, although it has it in saliva, no solid scientific evidence exist that it is transmitted by saliva through kissing.
