The importance of baby teeth

Usually, the next question is asked of young parents: " Why do i have to disturb with the milk teeth of my child, anyway they will change in a few years? "

There are several reasons why you have to take care of milk teeth otherwise knows as baby teeth and now more commonly as primary teeth. From the moment of their sprouting:

Milk teeth involve and ensure the place of permanent teeth. Fall or early loss of milk teeth may lead to loss of the place of permanent teeth, which in turn could lead to distortion of the permanent teeth. From there problems with your little angel...

Healthy milk teeth are very important for your child to be able to speak clearly and correctly.

Nice subordinates dental chains are important for the confidence of the child. Lost or rotten teeth and bad breath can cause ridicule from other children, which leads to the formation of complexes with the child.

Your child needs these teeth to be able to bite and chew. Without them it would not be able to eat normally.

Maintenance of hygiene of milk teeth

Most paediatricians and dentists agrees that it is better to start with the hygiene of the oral cavity before the first teeth appear. That is why American Association of dentists suggests starting with hygiene of the oral cavity of the baby just a few days after his birth.

Dental gums and the first baby teeth can be cleaned with wet gauze or baby toothbrush. Even the toothbrush is still necessary; it could lead to a habit of brushing. If you prefer, you can use toothpaste, but in that case have to be sure that it is appropriate toothpaste for babies. " Baby " toothpastes do not contain fluoride and are easy to swallow. If used ordinary toothpastes that contain fluoride by swallowing the paste itself can develop overdose of this mineral.

When cleaning milk teeth you need to be very careful. Teeth and gums of little baby are very delicate and sensitive. Also it is recommended and carefully cleaning of the tongue.

Best time for cleaning the oral cavity is after every feeding, but it is not always practically possible. Routine cleaning of the baby's mouth best is done at morning and evening after feeding, keeping in mind here that the most important time to clean is before bedtime. The reason for this is indicated by the fact that during sleep the saliva secretion reduces, and cleaning the oral cavity before bedtime avoids excessive multiplication of bacteria, depositing of dental patches, damage of the tooth enamel and others.

The habit of maintaining oral hygiene should be created since early childhood, but be sure to monitor the child while it wash the teeth (at the morning and evening) for you to be sure that it wash teeth properly.

The curvature of milk teeth because of milk bottle

From year to year the number of young children with crooked teeth is growing. Reasons are giving of milk, juice and sugar overnight after the sleep time. When a child sleeps the saliva secretion decreases and if milk is given, juice or other liquids containing sugar, the sugar and the bacteria are merging in the oral cavity and thereby it create acid that attacks the teeth and spoils them. Therefore it is very important not to create this habit to the child.

Here are a few preventive measures:

Do not let your child fall asleep with milk or other liquids that contains sugar. Most juices contain sucrose, and milk contain lactose, which leads to the formation of acid that destroys tooth enamel.

Do not allow the child to use the bottle of milk for itching of the gums and teeth. Sucking the milk bottle all day is harmful as much as sleeping with him.

Do not try to calm the child by tricking it with something sweet. It could lead to serious complications.

Give him milk at night before it goes to sleep, so the child will have time and opportunity to wash the teeth.

Try the last thing that you would give to the child before it goes to sleep to be clean water.
